Dr Amina Charania
Lead MA in Education & Teaching, Associate Professor, CETE, TISS
Dr. Amina Charania is an Associate Professor at Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). In the year 2010, she earned her doctoral degree at Iowa State University, USA, specializing in curriculum and instructional technology. She leads research, field action and teacher professional development programmes focusing on Constructivist teaching and learning with technology at scale. These interventions have brought national and international accolades. Over the years, she has published and presented her research and practice in some of the leading journals internationally. Her research has provided evidence based frameworks and policy guidelines for teachers’ agency, pedagogical integration of technologies, and learners as producers concept for adolescents in government schools across multiple geographies. She has also served as a member of the Committee for Mentoring Mission, National Education Policy, anchored by NCTE 2021-22.
Mr. Anil Mammen
Professor of Practice, CETE, TISS
Anil Mammen comes with more than two decades of experience in designing education technology and digital learning products and solutions. In his twenty-three-year stint with the TATA group, he served as Vice President and Chief Curriculm Designer at Tata Interactive Systems and Chief of Learning Design and Impact at Tata ClassEdge. At Tata ClassEdge, he was also a member of the Management Committee (Mancom), the top management team in charge of the organization. He has published several articles realted to education and edtech in The Hindu, Buisness World, Financial Express, Huffington Post, Education World and Digital Learning. Anil serves on the advisory board of the Board of Studies at CETE, TISS.
Mr. Sadaqat Mulla
His research interests are Learning and Teaching with Technology, Educational Technology (EdTech) solutions, ICT and Education, Open Educational Resources (OER), Design-Based Research, Multilingual Resources, Free/Libre Open Source Software, Education and Development. He worked in collaborative projects with academics, researchers and practitioners in the national and international settings such as NCERT (New Delhi), various SCERTs, HBCSE-TIFR (Mumbai), MIT (Cambridge, USA), UNESCO and UNICEF India.
Ms. Sohini Sen
Senior Manager, Teacher Professional Development, CETE, TISS
Sohini has been a part of Integrated approach to Technology in Education (ITE) since 2013 and has been associated with TISS ITE Resource Team since 2016 at CETE. She also manages the Certificate in ICT & Education for School Teachers along with providing monitoring and capacity building support for on ground implementation of ITE in government schools and madrasahs as a member of the resource team. Currently, she is working in the TELTA-21 program, a field action project in the field of education technology. Her research interests include constructivist use of technology in teaching & learning and technology-enabled teacher professional development at scale.
Ms. Uchita Bakshani
Uchita holds a Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in ICT and New Media in education. She has been working in the field of education for over 7 years in various capacities. She is currently working as a research and monitoring coordinator for the TELTA-21 project at CETE, TISS. She has also been co-teaching the course on teaching and learning with technology for the MA in Education and B.Ed/M.Ed programs at TISS. Uchita has also actively participated in many International events where she has presented her research
Ms. Durba Sarkar
Durba has been working in the field of education for more than 10 years. She is currently working as a Research and Partnership Manager for the TELTA-21 project, CETE, TISS. She has worked in the area of Education Technology, teacher professional development, curriculum development and research. As part of the TISS teacher professional development team she has developed teaching-learning materials, facilitated teacher training workshops at scales and mentored teachers for meaningful integration of technology in classroom practices. She has presented her research at different national and international platforms.
