About This Course

The programme aims at providing an opportunity to faculty and officials working in various Government Departments of Education, Teacher Education Institutes and Civil Society Organisations to develop perspectives relevant to current education reforms in India, and to develop research capabilities which are relevant to their professional work. Programme is being offered online and the duration is 8 months for the complete programme consisting of two cycles, totalling 20 weeks of weekly online classes and self-study work. Presently, we will be offering the four courses mentioned below in addition to the compulsory courses. We won’t be offering pedagogy courses in the initial round; however, we assure you that we plan to offer these pedagogy courses as early as June-July 2021.

  2. Research Workshops and Labs

Optional Courses:

  1. Reimagining Teacher Education 1 and 2
  2. Inclusive Education - 1 and 2
  3. Comparative Studies in Teacher Education - 1 and 2
  4. Practitioner Research

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • A course to help build perspectives on relevant themes in education through special recorded lectures by faculty of national repute. Case participants to study recent developments in India and the developing world.
  • Optional courses in specific themes in education to study features of innovations and contemporary and contextual research in these themes. Reimagining Teacher Education, Contemporary discourses in Education Policy and Practice, Inclusive Education, ICT and New Media in Education, and Management for School Transformation Education and Pedagogy courses with a TPCK approach.
  • Relevant research skills to enable practitioners to engage with research and help forge connections between research findings and practical knowledge.
