About This Course
We are offering these Connected Open Online Learning (COOL) resources to enable student-teachers and teacher educators to stay connected to your learning. Please stay safe and use these COOL resources for teacher education and continue with your professional education during this COVID-19 pandemic lockdown period. You can use the url www.tissx.tiss.edu or the TISSx android app .
This COOL course will introduce participants to the principles of design to curate OERs around a topic of their choice suitable for student-teachers (BEd Courses).
At the end of this course, the teacher educators will be able to:
- explore the characteristics of an OER
- engage in the design thinking process to curate OERs and create teaching-learning events for teacher education
- learn how to prepare and maintain digital portfolios
- share the designed resources and implementation experiences and engage in peer discussions on TISSx platform.
- learners will have the opportunity to earn a digital badge for displaying collaborative skills and submitting artefacts on the platform.
Who can do this course?
Teacher educators and M.Ed. student-teachers can enroll for this course.

These resources are being developed parallely with a design thinking workshop organised jointly by the Centre for Education Innovation and Action Research (CEIAR), TISS and the Department of Education, the University of Mumbai to provide online support to teacher educators and M.Ed. students.
